St John’s church offers a range of services to suit different worship styles. Regular services are listed below: use the link on the left for details of special services.

 Regular weekly services

Sunday 8:30am in church

This is a said communion service except on the first Sunday of each month when the choir join us to celebrate BCP Morning Prayer.


Sunday 10:15am in the church hall

This is an informal service for all ages, with no books: all you need is on an overhead screen. The service is preceded by hot drinks and toast at 9:45am.
Sunday 6:30pm in church
This is a choral service. On the first Sunday of each month it is a Common Worship communion and other Sunday evenings alternately BCP and Common Worship Evening Prayer.

Thursday 9:30am in church

This is a said Common Worship communion service. Most people stay for tea, coffee and biscuits after the service.

Daily prayer, 8.30am in church

Daily prayer is said in the Parish Church at 8:30am on Monday, Tuesday Wednesday and Friday during term time.
All are welcome at any of our services. Do stay after any of our services for tea or coffee and a chat.

We have wheelchair access at the church and the church hall, a hearing loop and large print service and hymn books available.
